This year I was a featured presenter at the conference speaking on the topic "Wish You Were Here: Los Angeles in Postcards", alongside David Boule, author of The Orange and the Myth of California. Exhibitors this year included: The Academy Film Archive, California Historical Society, Claremont Colleges Special Collections, The Getty Research Institute, The Little Tokyo Historical Society, Los Angeles City Archives, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum, Society of California Archivists, UC Irvine, UCLA Film & TV Archives, USC Digital Library, and The Writers Guild Foundation Library & Archive.

May 2012 Conducting research on documentary photographs in the UCLA archives March 2012 Melvin Hale presents film producer and actor Joey Travolta with a 40x20 Radio City - Hollywoodland limited edition in recognition for Joey's dedication to mentoring at-risk youth through his production company, Inclusion Films. With Melvin and Joey is budding screenwriter and college student, Taylor Vassell.
