Chi Chi and Cubana Palm Springs 1943 WInner of the Crystal Award of Excellence in the California State Fair Fine Art Competition Named after two famous dinner clubs on Palm Canyon Drive, Chi Chi in the teal color building at the far end of the street, and Cubana sitting to the left of the big palm tree. These clubs are also featured in the 1941 movie The Saint in Palm Springs, c.1941. This was only the third color composition I made, completed in June 2006.
